IDENTICAL Twins!!! I just love having twins in my studio (and these two are a couple of miracles having been born almost 3 months ago at less than 3 pounds each!) And if there was ever a case of a mommy being prepared for her newborn shoot, this mommy was it. Between my stacks of props and her buckets full, we were prepared for any creative whim that may have crossed us. She even sent me a bunch of pictures that she wanted to use for inspiration just because she loved them that much. Heavenly! Unfortunately, the boys had a different plan in mind. :( Sometimes that can happen when little ones are past their first week (and I don't blame Mom, these two were in the hospital for an extended period before they could come home and once they did... my goodness! No doubt life with twins is a HUGE adjustment!!). They didn't want to stay asleep once they were posed despite all of my newborn-whispering tricks. They wanted to spread out their little froggy legs. They would not let me put them in the super-fun props we pulled for them, and they absolutely did NOT want to be photographed together. We were all so sad! But sometimes that's just the way it goes. Fortunately, we were still able to get some really sweet "safe" shots of Sam and Mason, so it was not a total loss. They are absolutely perfect. Congratulations to a great new Mom and Dad, their adorable Aunt Brooklyn, and some pretty special grandparents! Thanks for letting me be among the first to get to snuggle these two little angels.
As a side note, in preparation for this shoot, I have some great new props that I would love to use for your next newborn shoot! I have an antique scale, an old trunk with little aviator hats and a little antique red airplane, and some great new baby boy hats. I love adding to my props!
